BitwigBuddy is a Bitwig Studio extension that speeds up your workflow by generating note patterns, editing velocities, and automating repetitive tasks with powerful macros. It is built around three modes: Generate, Edit, and Macro.
Generate Mode
- Create drum and note patterns from presets, or generate them semi-randomly in Program Mode with adjustable density and velocity shapes.
- Skip Step Every X, repeat patterns up to 8 times (max 128 steps), and toggle between Replace and Add for non-destructive editing.
- Save your own custom presets.
Edit Mode
- Reshape velocities of selected notes with 30+ velocity shapes (Linear, Arc, Sine, Triangle, Square, Sawtooth, and more).
- Humanize and transform existing patterns.
Macro Mode
- Chain native Bitwig actions with BitwigBuddy commands, including variables, loops, and conditionals.
- Ships with ready-made macros for common workflows.
